Title: PLANNING CASE P16-0824: Proposed Certificate of Appropriateness request by Mitch Adkison of Adkan Engineers, for construction of a two-story addition consisting of a 1,158 sq.ft. attached garage and 82 sq.ft. of living area on the first floor and 802 sq.ft. of living area on the second floor and site improvements including a circular driveway and patios, at a single-family residence previously evaluated as eligible for designation as a Structure of Merit located at 2523 Adams Street, in the RA-5 zone in Ward #5. It is recommended that the Cultural Heritage Board determine the proposal is categorically exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review pursuant to Section 15331, because the project is consistent with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
