18-0727 2PLANNING CASE P17-0933: Certificate of Appropriateness request by Magnolia Presbyterian Church to replace the stairs and ramp on the side of the church with ADA compliant ramps at the Magnolia Presbyterian Church (City Landmark #4), located at 7200 Magnolia Avenue, in the R-1-7000-CR – Single Family Residential and Cultural Resources Overlay Zones, in Ward 3. It is recommended that the Cultural Heritage Board determine the proposal is categorically exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review pursuant to Section 15301, because the project is a minor addition or alteration to historic resources. It is recommended that the Cultural Heritage Board recommend that the City Council determine the proposal is categorically exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review pursuant to per Sections 15061(b)(3) and 15308 of the CEQA Guidelines as it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity will have a significant effect on the environment, said action is intended to preserve the historic character of the building and site, and to provide notice of the historic status.
