Pursuant to the City Council Meeting Rules adopted by Resolution No. 23618,  
members of all Boards and Commissions and the public are reminded that they must

PLANNING CASE DP-2022-01109 (HD): Proposal by Shawn Stevens to consider a  
Historic Designation request for designation of the Verly House as a City Landmark.  
This property is located at 6268 Palm Avenue, on the southeast corner of Palm  
Avenue and Gardena Drive, in Ward 3. The Community & Economic Development  
Department recommends that the Cultural Heritage Board recommend that the City  
Council determine that this proposal is exempt from the California Environmental  
Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Sections 15061(b)(3) (Common Sense Rule) and  
15308 (Actions by Regulatory Agencies for Protection of the Environment), as this  
proposal will not have a significant effect on the environment and will preserve the  
historic character of a cultural resource and provide notice of the resource’s
